Austin Laser Dentistry - Hard Tissue Dental Laser
Usher in the new generation of dentistry!! No more nightmares about going to the dentist. Say goodbye to painful drilling and dental procedures!
What is Waterlase™ Technology?
The Waterlase™ system is innovative dental technology that uses laser-energized water to cut teeth. Electromagnetic energy is used to convert atomized water droplets into smaller energized water particles, creating "HYDROKINETIC™" energy. This minimally invasive technology allows your dentist to gently, and precisely, remove both hard and soft tissue without the pain normally associated with traditional drilling methods.
What are the benefits of using Waterlase™?
Patient Comfort
Pain created by the pressure and heat of traditional dental drills is eliminated, and in its place is a much more patient-friendly drilling environment.
Accuracy and Precision
Healthy teeth and gum structures are maintained, while surrounding tooth enamel decay and other targeted unhealthy bone and gum tissue is removed.
Reduced Trauma
Patients need less anesthesia and fewer shots because of the reduced pain stemming from minimally invasive Waterlase™ procedures!
Improved Cavity Fillings
Fillings last longer because the bond strength of tooth-colored restoration increases due to the “no smear layer” cavity preparations associated with Waterlase™.
Less Bleeding and Swelling
Waterlase™ procedures are gentle and precise, which result in significantly less bleeding and post-op swelling after soft tissue treatments/procedures/. Healing time is reduced to a matter of days versus several weeks with traditional/common scalpel methods!
Fewer Dental Visits
Because of the versatility of both soft (gum) and hard tissue procedures that can be performed with this new technology, your time spent at the dental office is reduced. (you can go on with your busy life, spend time with your kids….etc.)
What procedures can Waterlase™ be used for?
Because of its accuracy and precision, Waterlase™ Technology can be used to perform a variety of dental procedures, including many that were previously referred to specialists.
Waterlase™ can be used for:
- Root Canals
- Decay Removal
- General Soft Tissue Procedures
- Cavity Preparation
- Enamel and Dentin Procedures
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
What does the Waterlase™ sound and look like when it's used?
The Waterlase™ is an amazing dental tool that fixes dental problems in a conservative and gentle manner. The video below is from the maker of the Waterlase™ dental laser. The video describes the Waterlase™ laser and shows it in use. We have two Waterlase™ dental lasers in Austin and one in Round Rock. We use the Waterlase™ dental laser because it supports our philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry and provides a gentle dental experience to our patients.
